Jo & Jeff Got Married | Casa Marina Jacksonville Beach Wedding Photographer

Casa Marina is one of Jacksonville’s most popular wedding venues. Jo & Jeff got married in June, unfortunately it was in the middle of one of Florida’s rainy weeks in June. Weather is always unpredictable in Florida over the summer, Jo and Jeff were amazing at rolling with the punches and their wedding turned out beautifully!

I love it when brides laugh… it’s possibly one of the most beautiful things to capture in a photograph on the wedding day. It’s almost like capturing pure happiness.

I adore this shot of Jeff looking at Jo and her father before walking down the isle. The weather was terrible that day and they did a first look, they didn’t really have any other choice… and him waiting to walk into the area where friends and family were seated looking down the hallway at his bride… it was an amazing moment.

Amy and Greg are by far one of my most eclectic couples. Amy is a graphic designer full of super fun ideas for both her wedding and engagement photos. Amy showed up for the session complete with Super Mario Brother’s inspired tie, hair piece and props. Plus she had balloons! What photographer could ask for anything more.

Lindsey & Brett Are Married | Tampa, FL Wedding Photographer

Promptly upon my return to the great state of Florida May 18th, I had agreed to second shoot a wedding along with a fellow photographer friend of mine, who happens to be very pregnant. Three days before my trek from Mississippi to Jacksonville the doctor put my friend on bed rest. This meant an 8hr wedding day in Tampa was completely out of the question! I had already planned to second shoot and relieve some of the stress of the day from her, but now found myself in the position of primary at the wedding. I had never met the Bride or Groom. Never even spoken to them on the phone, we weren’t even Facebook friends. I left my comfy bed in Jacksonville very early the morning of May 19th and drove for a little more than 4hrs to Tampa into the complete unknown!!! I have to say that Lindsey and Brett were fantastic, they rolled very well with all the punches of the day, they were warm and welcoming to myself and my assistant. They fed us well, had a beautiful day and I’m very pleased with the way everything worked out… very exhausted by the end of the day, but very pleased! Here are the sneak peeks for their wedding…

Ashley & Andrew | Operation Love Re-United

A while back I joined Operation Love Re-United or better known as OpLove. This is a great service for military families. Being a Navy wife and photographer, I fully understand the value of those memories. There is no way to explain the emotion of seeing a loved one go away for military service and return home from that service. Lately, my own military wife-ness has kept me from accepting many homecoming or even pre-deployment sessions. I’ve either been too busy professionally or personally to commit to any OpLove sessions. Right before leaving for our Keesler, AFB visit I squeezed in one pre-deployment session for another Navy couple. These two are adorable. Don’t you think!
